Tips: My Breath Mint Addiction

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Life, Tips | Posted on 20-09-2007

Breath MintsMy name is Rohit Rohila, and I am addicted to Breath Mints. Years ago I was sitting on an airplane on my way to Kansas City. I was having a very painful conversation with a gentlemen who was sitting next to me. Painful because his breath smelt worse than anything I had ever been around in my life. I felt bad for the guy, I mean he probably didn’t even know he had bad breath. No one really comes up to you and says, “Hey, you have bad breath, think about brushing your teeth a little more often.”

Then it hit me… what if… I AM that guy? The guy with the bad breath that people are just too polite not to make me aware of it. So since then, I always carry around breath mints and pop them in my mouth all of the time.

I have also taken several steps to prevent bad breath. For more information, read Is Your Breath Hurting You?

StressedGoing outside for 5 minutes to get some fresh air does wonders to the body, mind, and soul. First off, getting fresh air into your lungs will relax your entire body and help you relieve stress. Also, by getting some sun, your body will produce Vitamin D, which helps to maintain a healthy immune system and also increases the absorption of Calcium, strengthening bones.

Make it a goal to spend 5 minutes outside everyday. Not while running your errands or the walk to get the mail, but actually go outside, stand for 5 minutes, take some deep breaths, and just let go. Make sure you are breathing correctly, to learn how check out this previous post How To Breathe Properly. You will begin to look forward to this time when you can just relax, let go of stress, and enjoy one of the simple pleasures in life.

TIP: A Quick Refresh

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Tips | Posted on 02-07-2007

Elbows & KneesDo you ever need a quick refresh to just kind of wake yourself up? Next time you need to feel a little refreshed, try this. Get some water on your hands and then with your wet hands, touch the inside of your elbows and knees, and then the back of your elbows and knees.

Your elbows and knees are devoid of oil glands and quickly become dry. That is the reason why your elbows and knees are darker than the rest of you. Also all of the nerves in your arms and legs travel across the elbows and knees, making them very sensitive.

So the next time you need a quick pick me up, try the water on the elbow and knee trick :)
