Why I Haven’t Written

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Site Update | Posted on 06-11-2008

For a very long time, I was updating this site every day. I would look forward to sitting down in a comfortable chair, brainstorming about what I would write for the day, and then getting to work. It was peaceful, relaxing, and best of all; it was an incredible opportunity to help me towards my greatest goal in life, to positively impact the lives of 10,000 people per month.

Well today I went for a nice walk in the rain, and thought long and hard about all of my goals and what I had done to work towards them in the past 6 months. I focused on this website and why I had taken this incredible opportunity to nothing more than an afterthought. In fact, my last post was about 2 months ago. I realized it was because I stopped writing what I felt in my heart, and instead I wrote what was in my brain. I went from using my emotions and feelings, which I believe to be my greatest strengths, to quadruple checking everything, and being logical.

Being logical works for some people, but to truly express myself, I have to use my emotions, my feelings. When I stopped doing that, this stopped becoming fun.

So from now on, I’m going to make more frequent posts, I’m not going to write as if I am writing a book but rather what I’m feeling, and most of all, I’m going to have fun again!

Shutting Down For A While

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Site Update | Posted on 19-06-2008

Hello everyone,

I would like to thank all of you who have continued to check my website as well as subscribe to it. This site started out strong, very strong, and then once I got my job it began to fade. I have NEVER lost site of my goal of 10,000 people a month, but I have also not done it any justice.

I am in the process or organizing my life. With hundreds of Web 2.0 Sites, Devices like MP3 Players, Cell Phones, etc., and checklists, address books, and everything else, my life has become cluttered. So with that said, I am shutting down this site for a while. I hope to be back up in a few months, hopefully sooner.

If you would like to know when I am back up and running, please subscribe to this site or email me personally at rohit@rohitrohila.com

Again I want to thank everyone for their support and all I can say is that I am excited about the future. Check back and be amazed as I implement all that I have learned!

I hope that you enjoyed this article. Please leave a small donation and a kind word of encouragement so that you too can enjoy the gift of giving!

IT’S OPENING DAY!!

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Site Update | Posted on 31-03-2008

baseball As many of you may know, I am a HUGE Baseball fan and my team is the Seattle Mariners. Go M’s! Today is opening day for Major League Baseball and I’d like to talk about Opening Day for a few moments.

There is something different about Opening Day. As soon as you walk outside you know. There is a certain smell in the air, the grass looks greener, the skies are bluer, and you feel it in your heart. It’s Baseball time!

Get out the Rye Bread and Mustard, along with your Grand Salami. Pop some popcorn, open a box of Cracker Jack, and get your ice cold soda.

So on this day, I invite everyone to take a deep breath, and enjoy the magical day known as Opening Day!

I hope that you enjoyed this article. Please leave a small donation and a kind word of encouragement so that you too can enjoy the gift of giving!
