“I’m Not Where I Want To Be”

Blame YourselfThere is a phrase I always use about network marketing and it goes like this, “Anytime you aren’t where you want to be, hold up a mirror and there’s your blame.”

As a leader, you will hear many excuses as to why people can’t do the business or why they are struggling. They don’t have a strong upline, their downline isn’t doing anything, the company has too many products, the company doesn’t have enough products, the company’s business cards are the wrong color, the meetings start 10 minutes too late, etc.

When a member of my team tells me one of these reasons as to why they aren’t working towards their dreams, I always let them know that I can introduce them to 10 people who had worse circumstances than they do and they made it.

I have seen and heard of a lot of people making it in this business under tremendous circumstances. In a business centered around communication, I have seen deaf people make it. A person with no arms or legs. A homeless person. A single mom of 5 who owed over $1,000,000 to a hospital. The stories are out there and they are incredible. People, all over the world, are working very hard towards their dreams.

So the next time you are feeling low, you aren’t where you want to be, just hold up a mirror.

Tim Sales: Inviting Formula

Tim Sales is an international speaker and author about the topic of Prospecting in Network Marketing. You can find more information about him at her website: http://www.brilliantexchange.com/. The following is written by Rohit Rohila and is only a summary Tim Sales’ work.

Tim SalesTim Sales has come up with a brilliant way of making the business of Network Marketing easy. The key, he says, is in effective Inviting. Inviting can happen using the following proven steps.

  1. Greet- The purpose of the greeting is to get your prospect to speak openly and freely to you. Talk to the prospect until they let their shield down.
  2. Qualify- Qualify is not what you might expect. It does not question whether the prospect qualifies for your time. The purpose of the qualify is to determine what the prospect: needs, wants, or doesn’t want. Another term that is frequently used in network marketing is finding out the prospects “hot button”.
  3. Invite- Now that you know what the prospect needs, wants, doesn’t want, invite the prospect to review information that can help them achieve what they need, want, or don’t want. In other words, link your business to their hot button.
  4. Handle Questions and/or Objections- Help the prospect get beyond their questions and oppositions to help them attain what they have already said that they need, want, or don’t want.
  5. Close to Action- Create an agreeable step towards what the prospect has stated that they need, want, or don’t want. Set specific dates and times for the reviews.
  6. Follow-up or Follow-through- Contact the prospect again to advance them with your business towards what they’ve stated they need, want, or don’t want.

3 Keys to Network Marketing/MLM Success

Posted by Rohit Rohila | Posted in Network Marketing/MLM | Posted on 27-08-2007

Network Marketing Success One of the requests that I have received is for articles for people with Home-Based Businesses. After doing some research, I discovered that many of the topics that are asked by Network Marketers can also be used by people who do not have their own business. So, by popular demand, here you go…

The most difficult aspects to Network Marketing for entrepreneurs is that they simply don’t know what to do on a daily basis. They are used to working for someone else, and have step-by-step instructions. Every successful Network Marketing company should include a training kit that goes over such topics as which literature to read, how to find your Why or Hot Button, your goals, and how to effectively work with your mentors. But what do you do once you have completed these steps? What should you do on a daily basis?

The following is a recommendation for the average Network Marketer. By average, I mean a person willing to work about 10 hours a week to develop their business. Using the following few simple steps, the average Network Marketer should be able to develop a substantial business within 2 years. You can always increase the numbers to increase growth.

  1. 2 A Day… Follow Up Will Pay!- Every single day, you should speak to 2 NEW people every day. Once you have discovered the prospects “Hot Button”, invite them to review your companies marketing tools (ex. DVD, Newspaper, Magazine, Brochures, Webcasts, etc.). Now the key… FOLLOW UP within 48 hours! This crucial step is the most often overlooked step. For example if you give a prospect a DVD on Monday, ask them if you can call them on Tuesday. They will almost certainly ask for you to call on Wednesday instead. By setting their own deadlines, they feel obligated to follow through.
  2. 30 Minutes of Personal Development- Do you know how to close a prospect? What about finding a prospects Hot Button? Do you know how to effectively set goals for yourself? Prospect different personality types? Train your team? By dedicating at least 30 minutes a day towards personal development, your skills and abilities will grow exponentially. Speak to anyone who has had any success in your company, and they will all say that personal development is extremely important.
  3. A Product A Day- Your Network Marketing company has many products and/or services that are available to consumers. Most Network Marketers however only have enough knowledge to scratch the surface. Every day choose a specific product/service and learn as much as you can about it. What is it about your companies products/services that sets them apart from similar products in the market?

Following those 3 key steps everyday will not only help your Network Marketing business become successful, but it will also make certain that you do not lose momentum! Good luck!
