3 Keys to Network Marketing/MLM Success

Network Marketing Success One of the requests that I have received is for articles for people with Home-Based Businesses. After doing some research, I discovered that many of the topics that are asked by Network Marketers can also be used by people who do not have their own business. So, by popular demand, here you go…

The most difficult aspects to Network Marketing for entrepreneurs is that they simply don’t know what to do on a daily basis. They are used to working for someone else, and have step-by-step instructions. Every successful Network Marketing company should include a training kit that goes over such topics as which literature to read, how to find your Why or Hot Button, your goals, and how to effectively work with your mentors. But what do you do once you have completed these steps? What should you do on a daily basis?

The following is a recommendation for the average Network Marketer. By average, I mean a person willing to work about 10 hours a week to develop their business. Using the following few simple steps, the average Network Marketer should be able to develop a substantial business within 2 years. You can always increase the numbers to increase growth.

  1. 2 A Day… Follow Up Will Pay!- Every single day, you should speak to 2 NEW people every day. Once you have discovered the prospects “Hot Button”, invite them to review your companies marketing tools (ex. DVD, Newspaper, Magazine, Brochures, Webcasts, etc.). Now the key… FOLLOW UP within 48 hours! This crucial step is the most often overlooked step. For example if you give a prospect a DVD on Monday, ask them if you can call them on Tuesday. They will almost certainly ask for you to call on Wednesday instead. By setting their own deadlines, they feel obligated to follow through.
  2. 30 Minutes of Personal Development- Do you know how to close a prospect? What about finding a prospects Hot Button? Do you know how to effectively set goals for yourself? Prospect different personality types? Train your team? By dedicating at least 30 minutes a day towards personal development, your skills and abilities will grow exponentially. Speak to anyone who has had any success in your company, and they will all say that personal development is extremely important.
  3. A Product A Day- Your Network Marketing company has many products and/or services that are available to consumers. Most Network Marketers however only have enough knowledge to scratch the surface. Every day choose a specific product/service and learn as much as you can about it. What is it about your companies products/services that sets them apart from similar products in the market?

Following those 3 key steps everyday will not only help your Network Marketing business become successful, but it will also make certain that you do not lose momentum! Good luck!

Just Ask Questions

FlightOn my way to Salt Lake City for a convention, I had a layover in San Francisco. Don’t ask me why United Airlines didn’t send me straight to Salt Lake City from Seattle (the way I’ve always gotten there), but at least it gave me extra time to meet people. The flight from Seattle to San Francisco was a very productive one. I met an incredibly nice person who also became a customer.

During the 2 hour flight, she did the majority of the talking. In between her pauses, I would only ask her more questions. She answered away, and then waited for my next one. She loved it! After the flight, she gave me a big hug, and even though she did all of the talking, told me that I was one of the nicest, most interesting people that she has ever met.

I could have just sat back, relaxed, listened to my personal development CD’s on my MP3 Player, but instead I sat there listening, using the SOFTNER Technique. Because I only spoke for about 10% of the time, and even that was just asking questions, she sensed that I had a sincere interest in her. Also, people very seldom have the opportunity to just talk about themselves, something everyone loves to do. I found out about her family life, her childhood, why she chose her line of work, you get the idea.

I was able to create a strong connection by just asking questions and listening to her using the SOFTNER Technique. The next time you find yourself in a similar situation, take a step back, and just ask questions. You may realize that you have very little patience and get easily bored around conversations that aren’t centered around you.

Thank YouWhat an incredible month August was for me personally. The amount of personal growth that I went through was tremendous. As always, when you began to spend your time somewhere, something else must be sacrificed, and for me, I put this website on hold for a while.
